About me

Hello there!

I am glad you are here. And I’m guessing you want to know something about me? Yes? No? Hopefully, since you are here it’s a yes.

I go by the name Gisele Uwobahorana (so hard to pronounce, but you can give it a try? Let me know how it goes). I love and enjoy different things. But first and foremost, I love God. I want to fall in love with Him more and more deeply as days go by. I love the beach as well (I think I’m part human, part fish. Ha!), and I love reading. Oh, and I almost forgot, I love, love laughing! I have three brothers and two awesome parents.

Today, as I was thinking about starting a blog, the Lord gave me this quote from John Newton about blogging, “Bloggers should write to learn, to meditate, and to remember.” This blog chronicles my walk with God and what the Lord is trying to teach me in the different seasons of my one life.

I pray and hope you join me on this journey of pursuing One who makes us new and beautiful  in *His time* despite our shortcomings.

Colossians 3: 1-4 (MSG) “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.”

I pray and know that the Lord will help us live this way!
