In control

And when the sixth hour had come,
there was darkness over the whole land
until the ninth hour.
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried
with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema
sabachthani? which means, “My God,
My God, why have you forsaken me?” Mark 15:33-34

In the crisp of eternity judgment,
He cried to His father
to come close and deliver Him.
nobody ever tells you
that even in His hands
you may feel abandoned,
helpless, and lonely.
I may feel that way,
but am I?

Wasn’t God in control
even at the crucifixion of His son?
dear soul,
know this, hold on to this,
(because the devil’s lies are never ceasing!)
no matter the fire you are walking
through, no matter the pressure
you feel, no matter the abandonment
you feel, repeat to yourself three times,
God. is. in. control.
God. is. in. control.
God. is. in. control.
So what all hell is breaking loose?
God. is. in. control.

The devil will whisper in your ears,
where is your God?
they had whispered the same lies
to Jesus at the cross…

Truth be told, what we are used
to call “God is in control” is our will.
Think about it for a moment,
times when you felt that “God is in control”
is when your plans were going your way
and the moment things go
the way we didn’t plan
me and you start questioning
if He is really in control?
or if He really sees us?

You may not feel that God is in control,
and that’s okay.
for a minute Jesus cried “My God, My God,
why have you forsaken me
but He wasn’t shaken
but how He felt, because
He knew the truth.
My. Father. is. in. control.
He just held on to His father’s will.
dear soul,
even when it hurts,
ever when you don’t understand,
even when it’s easier to just quit?
Would you please hold on to His will too?
God. is. in. control
God. is. in. control
God. is. in. control
