And Heaven Rejoiced

Mama says that you entered this side of heaven at 11:25 am on that Wednesday morning 19 years ago. I can almost hear heaven cheering as God was purposefully ushering you into this world from mama’s womb.

Can you truly believe that God wired you the way you are wired for a purpose bigger than you can imagine? You have a purpose bigger than you and bigger than what you can imagine for two main reasons:

1. “…before I, the Lord, formed you in the womb I knew you…” Jeremiah 1:4

Your birth wasn’t mum and dad’s idea, you were God’s thought and idea before mum and dad were even born.

The purpose on your life is bigger than you can imagine.

2. “… you are fearfully and wonderfully made…” Psalm 139:13

God didn’t just bring you into this world, He fearfully and wonderfully made you.

Everything that you are is for a specific purpose. Never believe otherwise, please?

As God is faithfully giving you a new year, here is what I would love for you to know deep in your heart:

  1. God is for you. And He loves you more than anyone will ever love you. And life makes sense only when we understand that His love is always there for us to not only make us whole but also to fill our lives with purpose and contentment.
  2. Never live your life to please others. It is draining. Live for God and people who truly care about you will be pleased as well. The Apostle Paul wrote this in his letter to the Galatians, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ”. Strive to please God and stay true to the calling God has for your life.
  3. You will not understand your life apart from God. God created you, He knew why you had to be born in the Uwobahorana’s family. He knew why you had to be the last born with two older brothers and one older sister. Never believe there is such thing as coincidence. Because in the kingdom of God there is no such thing.

And the things I absolutely love about you?

* You are so kind and sweet. Just like dad. And many times I have wanted to shelter you from the cruelness of this life but I know I can’t. I know the best thing I could always do is to commit your life to God, for He loves you and adores you more than I ever could.

* Did you know that your words have broken my heart open with joy? Have I told you that I screenshot some of your messages because they bring such joy and wonder in my heart?

* The way you tenderly care is so beautiful to see, like the times you would say, “where do you think you are going without giving me a kiss?” when I had left the house without telling you goodbye. I am so thankful for you!

Yvan, this sister of yours loves you more than you know. And I am forever for you. And please know, I am always, always, always for you. I pray you never doubt that. I know you have never doubted that, and I am so deeply thankful for that.

One last thing? You are NOT what society says you are, you are NOT what anyone says you are, you are NOT what you have accomplished or will ever accomplish, you are what God says you are. And God fiercely loves you, calls you His own, and deeply desires to walk with you.
I can’t wait to see you next week and celebrate with you.

Happy Birthday, Yvan! I love you, I love you, I love you.
