The blue sky
Weeks without the blue sky
I waited for it

Maybe the unknown can
Be embraced?
But it’s here now
This newness
This blueness
But it has always been here
Except that it was hidden

In You,
Has what’s been hidden
Beginning to sprout?
Have I let Your seed
Take root deep enough
To produce a harvest?

Why do we forget that
We are Your planting?
The very works of Your hands
Our every fiber is Your desire

The glory of the sun
Through this blue sky
I have new eyes
Fire
Your fire lights up the soul
And the soul starts to see
Same eyes
But the new seeing is from
The soul
From the heart
It’s true
When we close our eyes
It’s when we start to see.

And faith grows
Patience is exercised
Trust is nurtured
And love confounds the mind.
