The Mystery of the Love of God

The condition of our hearts“Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.” Psalm 139:12

I have been tracing Your heart
Tracing Your ways
You are the God of wonder
How do one trace wonder?
One word
Humility

Each tracing of Your heart
Leaves me humbled
You are an unsearchable God
Who can be known
Who can be conversed with
Face to face to wonder
Could we survive?

God, You are wonder
Face to face to You
Could we survive?
I know the answer to that.

O God of mercy,
O God of wonder
We are created in Your image
Created to behold wonder
Created to behold You
Created for You

I have asked You
A thousand times why
In the whole wide world
You would be interested in
A girl like me?
Your answer has always been
Steadily the same.

You don’t shy away from weakness
You are not oblivious to sin
You have confronted sin
In Jesus
To have the whole world
To have me.
I forever stand amazed.

O God, I could cry a thousand years
At the depth of Your love and mercy
I get to trace the heart of God
We get to trace the heart of God
Through His Word.

Even when You see darkness in me
You constantly and steadily
Inviting me to know You?
What love is this?

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me,
O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would
Outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.” Psalms 139:17-18

Mystery
Holiness
Love
God, You are mystery
You are Holy
You are Love
I know
You said I don’t have to know
Your ways to trust You
The mystery of You Lord
The mystery of love
You stand apart in holiness

You are the God of mystery
Your love through Your Word
Is mysterious
Not because it can’t known
But because it can’t be
Comprehended.

All of me
That’s all You ask
No hiding, no cowering
You desire the breadth of all of us.
God, I pray that I can say it
Each waking day
You can have all of me
Every fiber that I am.
For besides, my heart knows,
Now and forever I forever have
No good thing apart from You. Psalm 16:2

God, You are my all in all.
