This Love of God

His love will break down all your walls. His love doesn’t play it safe, it will undo all your knotted ways and will dare you to live in His light and to live loved.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:16-21

The One of A kind Love

If God’s love doesn’t compel us to live obediently, do we really understand it? Imagine right now a person dying for you to make you whole. Such a wild thought isn’t it? Could you wrap your mind around that? I know I can barely understand that. But that’s what Jesus did, and I believe it’s when we generalize what Jesus did on the Cross for the whole world that we are blinded to the magnificence of His crucifixion.

Lord God, in Your power please give us understanding and let us read the below words with Your Spirit, to know and be changed by Your love, Papa. Thank You, Father.

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person- though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die- but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” Romans 5:6-11

Do you get that? That while there was nothing desirable in us, God not only loved us but He died for us. Let me tell you something, don’t fool yourself by thinking that you can understand this love on your own. It takes a supernatural power of God for us to know His love and by no means am I being presumptuous. How do I know you can’t understand the love of God by your own? The answer is in Ephesians 3:14-21

Prayer for Spiritual Strength

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen”

Please, don’t miss the key word in those 7 verses.

The love of Christ surpasses knowledge. And you know what else? We need strength to comprehend His love. Do you understand that? You and I need strength to understand our Father’s love.

O Holy God, what a privilege it is to walk with you
What a wonder to have a forever with You
What a grace to be welcomed by You
What mercy would overlook my sin
What faithfulness would run towards me
Each morning
Each day
Each second you pull me close
The works of Your hands woo me
Over and over again
You are closer than my breath
You are my breath Papa
You are my very breath
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Will I ever thank You enough?

My God, my all in all

God will be Gracious

“Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem;
You shall weep no more.
He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry;
When He hears it, He will answer you.
And though the Lord gives you
The bread of adversity and the water of affliction,
Yet your Teacher will not hide
Himself anymore,
But your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall
hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,”
When you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver
and your gold-plated metal images. You will scatter them as
unclean things. You will say to them, “Be gone”. Isaiah 30:18 – 22

“There is none like you among the gods,
O Lord,
nor are there any works like yours.
All the nations you have made shall come
and worship before you, O Lord,
and shall glorify your name.
For you are great and do wondrous things;
you alone are God.
Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear Your name.
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with
my whole heart,
And I will glorify your name forever.
For great is Your steadfast love toward me;
You have delivered my soul from the
depths of Sheol.” Psalm 86:8 – 13

God, I can only imagine the moment I will be in Your presence… Thank You for continuously making me ready for that moment.
